Vision

Visionary and experienced leader in the telecommunications industry, Alexandre Pébereau founded Tofane Global in 2017 on the concept that independent operators and digital players were looking for alternative options for independent global connectivity to achieve their visions.

With several operators looking to divest out of some of their portfolio holdings, Alexandre took the risk of financing early acquisitions by self-funding the initial consolidation activities to launch Tofane Global and obtain the critical mass to become a viable market player.

His insight and entrepreneurial spirit convinced leading financial and institutional investors to further fund his ambitions. In less than three years, Pébereau successfully completed six acquisitions, integrated them under the iBASIS brand – an iconic early Internet pioneer in the US, and became one of the world’s leading providers of international services – voice, mobile, SMS, and IoT.

The successful integration of these entities on a unified digital platform makes it possible to quickly generate synergies. Everything is reinvested in complementary growing services, such as the A2P SMS and IoT.

Debt-free and supported by its financial partners, Tofane pursues its ambitions in international communications and global connectivity services for operators, fixed and mobile, OTTs, as well as IoT and Cloud service providers in Messaging, Voice, Mobile Data, IoT, Security and Cloud solutions.

Growth opportunities are identified based on the complementary nature of the technologies and international teams in order to scale for growth, and thus optimize performance for customers.

Tofane Global is pursuing a growth strategy driven by acquisitions and rapid integration which accelerate both its geographic presence and the development in its main businesses.

Today, Tofane is diversifying its portfolio to target digital operators: Over The Top (OTT) and Internet of Things (IoT) suppliers, as well as new players in the digital economy.

Global Presence

With an approximate consolidated annual revenue of €500 million, Tofane Global offers a global coverage network, serving more than 1,000 customers worldwide, telcos, mobile operators, OTT, IoT, and Cloud providers.

At the core of Tofane are 350 specialists (38% of whom are women) in 22 countries representing a rare depth and breadth of diverse skills and experiences across markets and technologies. All employees are involved in the group’s value creation, directly as shareholders or through a “Phantom shares” program.
